How to Make the Cake
- 1. Combine in a large bowl 2 cups of sugar and 2 cups of flour.
- 2. Combine in a saucepan 2 sticks of butter, 1 cup of water and 4 tablespoons of cocoa. Cook until melted and blend with the flour/sugar mixture.
- 3. Add 1/2 cup buttermilk, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, 1 teaspoon of vanilla and 2 eggs (beaten slightly). Mix well.
- 4. Pour mixture into a well-greased 12x18 cookie sheet (with sides), and place in an oven pre-heated to 400 degrees for 20 minutes.

How to Make the Frosting
- 1. Ten minutes after placing the cake in the oven, combine in a saucepan 1 stick of butter, 4 tablespoons of cocoa and 6 tablespoons of milk. Blend well.
- 2. Once melted, add a one pound box of powdered sugar and beat until nicely whipped.
- 3. Spread on top of the cake while it is still hot and sprinkle with pecans if desired (it makes it extra tasty!).
